Work on high piles and horizontal rows.If you plan ahead before making any match, you have a better chance of assessing which moves will help you progress the most. It may be tempting to immediately make matches when you see them, but plan out matches ahead of time. Look for crucial matches that open up tiles, especially ones that are important for future matches. When you first start the game, take time to evaluate the placement of the tiles. Assess the placement of the tiles before making a match.Calculating your moves with the following Mahjong strategies may increase your chances of winning: Matching may sound easy, but having some tiles unavailable increases the difficulty of making a match. You can reshuffle the tiles at any time during the game, but typically it is best to wait until you’ve run out of moves. Reshuffle the tiles when no moves are available. So any flower tiles can be paired with other flower tiles, and any season tiles can be paired with other season tiles. The suits for seasons and flowers don’t have identical tiles, so you can pair any seasons and any flowers to make a match. Tiles have suits, and you can match identical tiles of the same suit to clear them from the board. Pair up identical tiles of the same suit.If you click outside of the game setup or click a tile that can’t be matched, the unavailable tiles will turn gray, making the available tiles easier to spot. Only one side needs to be open without touching another tile. Tiles can’t be matched unless either the left or right side of the tile is open. Keep these Mahjong Solitaire rules in mind while playing: If you need help remembering which is which, you can turn on the Tile Labels under Settings. You can match any seasons or any flowers together. There are four different seasons and four different flowers. All stone, character, bamboo, and honor tiles must be matched identically.įor the bonus tiles, there are no identical matches. You’ll find four sets of nine different tiles for stone, character, and bamboo suits.įor the honor suit, you’ll find four sets of three different tiles for dragons and four sets of four different tiles for winds. Just like Solitaire, Mahjong tiles have suits: stone (circles), character, bamboo, honor, and bonus tiles. You can choose from a turtle, fish, bird, gate, or triangle and see which layout you enjoy playing best. You can change the layout to Mahjong Solitaire, with each setup offering its own unique challenges. Mahjong Setupįrom layouts to suits, the next sections explain how Mahjong gets set up and how suits impact play. The tiles must be exposed on either their left or right sides to be in play. ObjectiveĬlear the board by matching like tiles. The tiles are stacked so, you can only match tiles that are open on the left or the right, working outward to inward. It is a matching game using mahjong tiles, where the objective is to clear the board by matching two identical tiles to remove them from play. Mahjong Solitaire is a one-player version of the classic four-player Mahjong.

It is the nature of the mind to always keep jumping, seeking change and variation. The practice deepens and advances as the poses are held longer with greater concentration (from 3 – 30 minutes depending on the pose (see Integral Yoga Hatha book for details). To progress in the Integral Yoga Hatha practice, there is no need to keep adding additional poses. (Actually, it is the awareness or concentration that sends the prana to the particular area of the body.) This greatly enhances the benefit of the asana.Īs one becomes more comfortable in a pose, the asana can be held for a longer period of time. By placing the awareness on a particular area of the body, the prana is directed to that area. The concentration should be directed toward the vital organ, gland, or area of the body that is receiving the flow of prana. Sri Gurudev advises that our awareness during an asana should be on the benefit of the pose. The asanas are performed with a meditative attitude. The practice balances the endocrine system on the physical level and on the more subtle level it balances the prana or vital life force throughout the system. One of the primary benefits of this sequence is to experience balance on all levels of our being. Sri Gurudev presented us with a core sequence of asanas for daily practice. This approach prevents one from becoming stuck in the physical asana aspect of Yoga and allows one to maintain a healthy body and peaceful mind in order to experience a more useful life. Sri Gurudev’s emphasis was on using a regular asana practice to gain the maximum health benefits with the minimum number of asanas. For those seeking the physical benefits of Yoga, of course that is readily available, but the Integral Yoga Class itself opens the doorway to a more all-inclusive understanding and practice of the Yoga lifestyle. Sri Gurudev always presented Yoga as a comprehensive spiritual path not just a physical practice. Each class contains asana (physical postures), pranayama, kriyas (purification practices), Yoga nidra (deep relaxation), pratyahara (control of senses), chanting, mantra repetition and meditation. Even though the class is called Integral Yoga Hatha, it is a complete Yoga practice. Yogiraj Sri Swami Satchidananda was an accomplished yoga master who came to the west in 1966 and offered the traditional Yoga teachings and practices in a way that was unique. HI, thanks for the fast reply! I'm going to post the compilation errors below, that happen when using the "Code A" example from their webpage/wiki, which is located here: So I'm really wondering if there is working code out there, which just isn't found with google? Anyone.? I have seen comments on the sellers websites where people claimed they had simply used it with the normal Ethernet library and current IDE, but no details given. I have tried several examples using Ethernet, Ethernet2, Ethernet3 libraries with no success.Īccording to the manufacturer webpage their own modification of the library called "Ethernet55" is meant to be used only with a version 1.4 of the Arduino IDE, but strangely enough such version doesn't seem to even exist? The Ethernet55 thingy gives lots of compilation errors when tried in the up-to-date IDE. While I have used ethernet shields already in several Arduino projects, I wasn't able to get this one up and running. I am wondering if anyone has a running project with the Keyestudio W5500 (model KS0304) board - which is featuring an arduino-like combination with onboard ethernet controller (5500 chipset type) - and would be willing to share their code? Google’s updated emoji library now includes a wider range of skin tones, hair styles and gender expressions, representing broader identities. This commitment to inclusivity goes beyond mere representation it’s about creating visuals that resonate with the lived experiences of diverse audiences. Gone are the days of generic, faceless figures representing “everyone.” Instead, designers are incorporating visual elements that celebrate a broader spectrum of races, ethnicities, genders, abilities and body types. In 2024, graphic design embraces its responsibility to reflect the true diversity of the world around us. Its inherent simplicity and vibrant charm resonate with audiences across generations, offering a welcome respite from the hyper-realism of many contemporary visuals. Take Lacoste for example, the iconic crocodile got a pixelated makeover for their collaboration with Minecraft, celebrating nostalgia and gaming culture. Pizza Hut took us back to the arcade era with their “Pac-Man x Pizza Hut” collaboration, featuring pixelated pizzas and Pac-Man themed packaging. This retro aesthetic, infused with a modern twist, injects a playful nostalgia into branding, website design and even packaging. It’s things like this that make me rather not have the discover feed. Why? I feel like I’m being teased by a good article only to have it disappear before I can open and view it. I’ve searched for ways to view discover history, but it doesn’t exist. I don’t understand why this isn’t built-in. Add discover history for articles we haven’t viewed yet. Please… please… show me the previous feeds. One of the MOST FRUSTRATING things in this app is how I see the discover feed and see an article I’m interested in only to have it disappear into the void as soon as it refreshes before I even have a chance to open the article. When you land on a district with a railroad, you can move to any other district that has a railroad, however if that district is owned by another player you still have to pay rent before you leave. You can use railroads to pass Go and collect wages to get to a part of the board where you hope to buy and also to avoid high rent areas. Railroads are used differently in Monopoly City than in other previous versions of the Monopoly game. However if the railroad icon flashes then you get to build a railroad on any district for free. Once again you’ll use the trading unit and this time push the build button on the side. Whatever number is showing out of 1, 2 or 3 that’s how many blocks you’re able to build on at that time. Your grey residential buildings come in blocks of 1, 2 or 3 and the light blue industrial buildings do the same. The banker pushes the auction button on the trading unit and then all players have 50 seconds to place their bids. Whoever has the highest bid when the red light goes off on the trading unit pays his bid price to the banker and then owns that particular district.Įach Monopoly City district has an 8 block building limit. If you happen to land on one of these district spaces, you have the option to buy it or put it up for auction. Each district in the middle of the game board has a matching space on the track. Districts a what you’ll buy in order to build properties on to make your money. Once you open your new Monopoly City game board you’ll see that in the center of the board are colored shapes on either side of the river. I ‘ll explain the different buildings, why you should own them and a couple of things you can do to protect your districts as well as harm other opponent’s districts. The rest of this review will give you an insight into what I am talking about. The twist with Monopoly City is how you set up strategies against your other opponents so you can collect the most money any way you can. Just like in all other Monopoly games, the winner is the one who has the most money at the end of the game. It doesn’t mean that you win the game but it can sure get you there before you know it. If you can be the only one to own Monopoly Towers you can almost assure yourself of winning the game. If you can get to the point in the game where you can buy skyscrapers, you can accelerate your earnings and deplete the bank accounts of your opponents somewhat quickly. There are ways to protect your districts and keep your rent value high, but you must be quick on your feet and not mess around, because your opponents can decrease your rent value very quickly and it could be rather costly to regain your money. You are able to build on every turn by buying up residential or industrial buildings which help to increase the rent value of your districts. With in the game there are several strategies you can use to combat your opponents and keep them from collecting as much rent as they could. The site is also available in Dutch Language. In Monopoly City you simply move around the game board buying up districts and building a high rent area so that people who land on your districts must pay you top dollar. Read here more about the fun facts and history of Monopoly. Official Recognized Monopoly Records: Longest Game Ever Played Clones pop up all the time and are widely available. The game is also the most copied (both authorized and unauthorized) one. Today, the game has been been published in 26 languages and more than 200 million games have been sold worldwide.īy my estimation, around 500 million people have played Monopoly. It was based on The Landlord's Game (1904), designed and patented by Elizabeth Magie. While there's a strong element of luck involved, there's still enough strategy left so skilled players will win more often in Monopoly. The goal of the game is to force all of the other players into bankruptcy by buying real estate, building houses and hotels and charging rent. Income is gained by other players visiting their properties and money is spent when they visit properties belonging to other players. Players take the part of land owners, attempting to buy and then develop their land. Monopoly is a real estate-themed game with a roll-and-move and set collection mechanic. In the second section you describe your expense and put in how often it is paid. For example, you might have a yearly pool membership or a quarterly subscription. But sometime committed expenses can be of different durations too. So are any subscriptions you have like Netflix or Gym memberships.Ĭommitted expenses are usually monthly – think your phone bill or subscriptions. So for example, your mortgage is a committed expense. What is a committed expense? A committed expense is an expense that you already know in advance what the amount is and it comes out on a regular basis. In this part you need to put in all your committed expenses. Next add in you r committed expensesįor this next part, having a copy of your bank and credit card statements handy can be quite helpful. Once you put this number into the spreadsheet in the lines “Net paycheck 1” and “Net paycheck 2” with the frequency, the template will automatically calculate the equivalent weekly amount for your income and it shows this number at the top next to “Average Weekly Income”. You can choose “Weekly”, “Every Two Weeks”, “Twice a Month”, “Monthly”, “Every 3 Months”, or “Every 6 Months”. Next choose how often you are paid from the dropdown in the spreadsheet. First input your regular incomeįirst thing to do is to get a copy of your paychecks and fill in the how much you get paid. After putting in your income and expenses, the spreadsheet will calculate their weekly equivalents and let you know what you can safely spend in a week. This is where you will put in all your recurring income and expenses. So to start, open the sheet called “Safe-to-Spend”. The first step in creating a weekly budget is to understand what you “Safe-to-Spend” number is. You can download our weekly budget template as an Excel document (.xlsx) or open it as a Google Sheet to calculate your Safe-to-Spend and then track of your spending on a weekly basis. If you would like to try and do the same thing but with a spreadsheet instead, you are in luck! We created Weekly as an app to help you stay on track with your personal finances using a weekly budget. It’s highly automated, mapping tasks against task start dates and the number of days expected for the task, and then creating a colour coded graph. This template allows you to illustrate complex projects in a way that’s quickly and easily digestible. It probably wouldn’t suit an audience of professional, detail-oriented project managers. It’s especially useful for PowerPoint presentations where space is limited, highlight reports and high-level briefings. This is not strictly a Gantt Chart as it presents data horizontally and doesn’t cascade individual tasks, but it does present projects in a visually interesting and condensed format. It doesn’t have any fancy formulas so you can’t ‘break it’. It doesn’t show detailed data, such as resource availability, worktime requirements or even exact start and end dates. There’s no clever bells and whistles it’s a basic colour-by-numbers chart, keeping it simple and user friendly. This type is often used where little detail is required or known, such as early procurement bids and high-level reports. You can see all constituent tasks, the time in months they’re expected to be delivered and how they relate to each other. It’s easy to use and easy to understand, giving relevant information without overdoing it on data. The most common Gantt chart type I encounter.
